Salvia x superba 'Rose Queen'

Salvia - Hybrid Sage

An easy to grow adaptable plant for your perennial bed.  Salvia 'Rose Queen' isn't very tall, so plant it near the front of the border. It's fairly drought tolerant once established, and it attracts hummingbirds and butterflies.  Also known as Violet Sage or Meadow Sage.  Salvia 'Rose Queen' blooms in early summer with spikes of rose-pink flowers (aromatic foliage).  It repeats blooms if deadheaded. Hybrid sage is the best choice for the cold mountain areas when a perennializing species of Salvia is required.
